Yesterday the Hamburg Film Critic Award at Filmfest Hamburg - tomorrow the Oscar for the best foreign language film? Susanne Bier, who won the Hamburg Film Critic Award at Filmfest Hamburg for her film "Brothers" in 2004, is nominated for the Oscar 2011 as best foreign language film with her latest movie "In a Better World".

The films "Life, Above All" by Oliver Schmitz and "Simple Simon" by Andreas Öhmann, which both successfully premiered at Filmfest Hamburg 2010 and which have been on the Oscar shortlist, were unfortunately not nominated. Anyways the warmest congratulations from Filmfest Hamburg!!!
