The "Peppercorns" in action at 6th Michel Kinder- und JugendFilmfest (Children's and Youth Film festival)

It's time again: the Michel Kinder- und JugendFilmfest (Children's and Youth Film Festival) opens on 26th September 2008. The programme includes international children's and youth films alongside productions by Studio Hamburg Produktion.
Kerstin Ramcke, producer and deputy managing director of Studio Hamburg comments her company's commitment: "Filmfest Hamburg is one of the most important events of the year, which we are glad to take part in. As a successful producer of children's and youth films we eagerly support the "Michel", because particularly young talent deserves commitment and care."
Two new episodes of the series "Die Pfefferk�rner" will be shown within the framework of an exclusive premiere on Sunday, 28th September 2008 at 11am. After the presentation, actors and producers will be available for questions and answers, before an ensuing location tour leads to the series' original shooting locations within Hamburg. On Wednesday, 1st October at 10.30am, the young audience can enjoy an unusual film experience in cooperation with "Seiteneinsteiger", Hamburg's literature festival for children and adolescents: author Katja Kittendorf and actor Matthias Klimsa will give a reading of one of her "Pfefferk�rner" screenplays.
The commitment by Studio Hamburg Produktion has secured the existence of the sixth children's and youth section of Filmfest Hamburg. A result that would likewise not have been achieved without further financial support by a number of partners including Super RTL, Universal Pictures Germany, Reisenthel and the children's channel Jetix, as well as the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Media.
The 6th Michel Kinder- und JugendFilmfest (Children's and Youth Film Festival) takes place from 26th September to 2nd October 2008 in the cinema CinemaxX Dammtor.
