Eine This year Filmfest Hamburg has a special treat for fans of electronic music in cooperation with the Reeperbahn Festival. Firstly, the film �Berlin Calling� by Hannes St�hr celebrates its German premiere in the cinema CinemaxX, then the premiere party takes place at the club Uebel & Gef�hrlich within the framework of the Reeperbahn Festival � musically introduced and concluded by Smallville-DJ Julius Steinhoff and Ren� Dachner, head of the electronic section Weald and the evening�s host. Live on location: Paul Kalkbrenner, who plays the lead role in �Berlin Calling�. Tickets for the party are available for a special price of 9 euros at all Filmfest Hamburg ticket agencies; a combined ticket for film and party costs 15 euros. Holders of a Reeperbahn Festival ticket have free access to the party.

In This year in Toronto we met two extraordinary artists: experimental filmmaker Peggy Anne Berton and multimedia artist Marc St Aubin. They will present their film performance ScareCity on Saturday 27.09. at 10.30pm and on Monday 29.09. at 9pm at Hadley's. In 2008, Lernort Film (lit: learning space film) once again offers a training unit under the supervision of Eva and Dirk Fritsch for teachers and cinephiles within the framework of Filmfest Hamburg. It centres on explaining the basic elements of the medium film and questions their classroom usage. A selection of films will be presented as a possible means of conveying motivation as to the understanding and creating of films, on Monday, 29.09.08, from 2 to 6pm, in the cinema CinemaxX Dammtor.
